Our Approach

How we work —
and who we answer to.

Anyone can list services. What matters is the standard behind the advice, how the advisor is paid, and whether you're told the truth when the answer isn't profitable. Here's exactly how we operate.

The standard

Not all advisors
are the same.

A fiduciary is legally required to act in your best interest at all times. A non-fiduciary is held to a lower “suitability” standard — a recommendation only has to be suitable, even when a better or lower-cost option exists elsewhere.

Guardian Financial, Inc. is a Registered Investment Adviser. That fiduciary duty isn't a marketing line for us — it's the legal standard we're held to on every recommendation we make.

How we're paid

Ask any advisor how
they get paid.

If the answer takes more than a sentence, keep asking. Here is ours, in full.

Investment advice

Fee-based. No product commissions.

On the securities side of our business, Guardian Financial, Inc. is a fee-based Registered Investment Adviser. Our advisory compensation is the fee our clients pay us — we do not earn commissions on the investment recommendations we make.

That means the recommendation to hold, to sell, to stay in cash, or to do nothing at all costs us exactly the same as the recommendation to buy. There is no product we get paid more to put you in.

Insurance products

Commission-based, and we say so.

Insurance products — life, annuities and long-term care — pay a commission from the insurance carrier. That is simply how insurance works industry-wide, ours included, and those products are offered through our affiliated company, Guardian Financial Advisors and Associates, LLC.

We'd rather you hear that from us up front than discover it later. If we ever recommend an insurance product, we'll tell you plainly that it pays a commission, why we believe it fits your plan, and what the alternatives are — including doing nothing.

Some firms bury this distinction. We put it on its own page, because a client who understands how their advisor is paid is a client who can judge the advice for themselves.

The process

Discover. Design. Deliver.

Three steps, no obligation at any point. You'll know whether we're the right fit before you commit to anything.

01

Discover

We start with a fifteen-minute phone call — your goals, your concerns, and what retirement should actually look like for you. If it makes sense, we schedule a longer sit-down from there.

What happens in this meeting We listen more than we talk You tell us what keeps you up at night We explain how we work and what we charge You decide whether to take a next step
02

Design

We build a coordinated plan across income, investments, taxes, health care and estate — then walk you through it line by line, in plain English.

What you receive A written plan, not a verbal promise The gaps and risks we found, stated plainly Tax exposure across income and estate transitions Clear recommendations and the reasoning behind them
03

Deliver

We implement the plan and meet regularly to review and adjust. Implementation is the beginning of the relationship, not the end of the sale.

Ongoing Regular reviews as life and markets change Assets custodied at Charles Schwab Coordination directly with your CPA and attorney You call us — not a call center
Your first meeting

Nothing to prepare.
Nothing to sign.

Most people put off the first call because they assume it's a sales meeting, or that they need their paperwork in order first. Neither is true. We start with a short phone call — nothing to bring, nothing to prepare.

15 min
An introductory phone call A quick conversation to understand where you're at and whether it makes sense to meet.
45 min
A sit-down or Zoom meeting In our Bentonville office or over Zoom, where we go deep on your goals, your plan, and your questions.

Start with a call

Fifteen minutes on the phone before anyone drives anywhere.

No cost

There is no charge for the introductory call, and no obligation to continue.

No products

Nothing is recommended or sold on the first call. We're both deciding on fit.

You'll meet leadership

You speak with Tony or Brady directly — not a junior rep or an appointment setter.

Local roots, national reach

We fly to meet
our clients.

Tony and Brady are both licensed pilots. When a client lives two states away, we don't schedule a video call — we file a flight plan. Home based in Northwest Arkansas, serving families coast to coast.

Now you know how we work.

The next step is a fifteen-minute phone call. No pitch, no paperwork — just a straight read on where you stand.
